DIANE FORD-BENNINGFIELD -- DIRECTOR, KENTUCKY DIVISION (VAA)
Diane Ford-Benningfield was born and raised in Corydon, Indiana. She attended
College at Indiana University Southeast with her major being Speech(Public Relations)/
Theatre. This helped fulfill her love of public speaking. While at IUS she was President
of her sorority Sigma Kappa, an officer in the Student Government Association and
participated in multiple theatre productions.
She began her career by purchasing a Louisville Bar/Restaurant "The Cardinal's Inn"
a local hangout for the University of Louisville. Diane continued her career working for major corporations and serving her community. She has worked for Ford Motor Company, Humana Inc., Jewish Hospital Healthcare Services and Kentucky College of Technology. Diane has been associated with numerous local, regional and national organizations. She also keeps close ties with local and state political leaders. This enables her to keep identity theft and VAA a front line issue within the state of Kentucky.
Her goal here at the Kentucky Division is to increase public awareness of the problems of victims. Especially of electronic stalking whether it is in cases of identity theft or more extreme cases known as malicious identity theft. Diane has first hand knowledge of how long and hard it can be to recover from identity theft. It took her well over a year to recover her own identity when a person stole her social security number and bank account numbers.
We are proud to have Diane join us at VAA. Diane has received a number of awards for her outstanding work ethics and community services which are exactly what attributes we look for and cherish in our employees here at VAA. She wants to continue focusing her time and energy towards helping the victims of identity theft by serving as our director of VAA's Kentucky Division. She will be available for speaking engagements, seminars, fundraisers and media events for the state of Kentucky along with personally helping victims through their id theft problems.
Please feel free to contact her with your thoughts, comments or any speaking engagement needs at KYDivision@VictimsAssistanceofAmerica.org.
