It is very important to
order a report from all three agencies listed above. (If you get
a “triple report” from just one of the agencies – it
may not include all of the info from all three agencies.)
Once you have your reports in hand – if you need any help understanding
what to do next – please contact us from the website or by
e-mail or phone so that we may assign an advocate to personally
help you.
If
you are a Victim of Identity Theft or if you have been Turned
Down For Credit within the last 30 days – and you let
the agencies know this - your first credit report (from all three
agencies) is at no charge.
Please
be cautious of web-sites that look like they are helping when
their main purpose is to sell you something. VAA supplies
a link over to all three credit reporting agencies right here
so that you can deal directly with them. Any item sold at this
site
(mainly through VAARetail) has 100% of all profits funding
our help to victims mission and the nonprofit goals of our 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
For
your Families Financial Good Health get credit reports for
all family members once a year and be sure no one has started
using any of your family members’ names and/or social security
numbers. Children and older (even deceased) Americans are especially
preyed upon. Don’t let these perpetrators ruin your family’s
good name by adding criminal records or exorbitant debt – catch
it within the first year and let VAA help you!
