Prospect, KY (August 12, 2002) - Victims Assistance of America, Inc (VAA)
-- VAA has quickly been progressing in attaining excellent directors for their state divisions as they anticipate the news coming out nationally that there is now an organization available for victims of the nations #1 crime: Identity Theft.
Martha Steimel, President of VAA started the KY division first (since that is her family home). From there she will assign the Director to someone else as she moves to head up the national headquarters in DC. Catherine Hurd was the first to sign on for the directors position for the state of CA. We then had tentative positions filled in VA, MI, and FL.
Shortly thereafter, Diane Ford-Benningfield made it known that she wanted to head up the KY division which now frees up Martha Steimel (our President) to continue her plans to move to DC and head up the National Headquarters of VAA there, overseeing the state divisions and establishing consistent help to victims of identity theft across the country.
At this time we now have tentative state directors also in the states of IN, CO, SC, and also in DC. We were told to expect as news came out of what we were doing to expect it to grow quickly across the country with a strong desire by everyone involved to finally offer consistent help to victims nationally.
Were delighted with the progress that weve made so far and do hope if you are interested, or know of any one who wants to be involved with the only national 501-c-3 aggressively addressing the needs of the victims of identity theft that you will please send them our way! Thank you.
