Attn: Philanthropy – Grantors – Donors

Prospect, KY (June 23, 2002) - Victims Assistance of America, Inc (VAA) -- Hello, I am Martha Steimel, president of a new 501(C)3 non-profit, fighting for victims of the nations #1 crime. Please realize that identity theft is so new that no foundation or philanthropist has our cause allowed for in their mission. This is the nations #1 crime. It’s growing by leaps and bounds. We’ve been told to expect 10,000 victims calling for help per week. We need everyone’s help and support. Don’t assume that someone else handles this. They Don’t!

It is important that grantmakers (foundations and government agencies and corporations alike) be alert and responsive to changing conditions in society and to the changing needs and merit of particular grantseeking organizations. I’d like to point out at this time that it has been brought to our attention that identity theft is so new that it has not been allowed for in any funder’s mission.

After personally enduring a 10 year long problem myself over 6 years ago, I’d like to say that it’s really not new at all. I’d like to propose that it is now so bad that we can no longer not address this problem.

If you’d like more information about our organization, we can be found at: http://www.victimsassistanceofamerica.org/. We have an RFP letter posted in our media kit, online. If you would like to invite us to send you any info,. if you would like to ask us any questions, if you would like to sponsor any part of our programs, or if you would like to let us know of an excellent grant opportunity for us to apply for, please contact us. You can get us through the website Contact VAA button or our email address is itzacrime@yahoo.com. We are situating National Headquarters in DC simultaneously with setting up our first division in Kentucky. You can catch us by phone at (502) 292-2456 or direct mail to either:

VICTIM'S ASSISTANCE OF AMERICA, INC. (VAA)
PO BOX 33752
WASHINGTON DC 20033-3752

or else:

PO BOX 270

PROSPECT, KENTUCKY 40059-0270

We need extremely strong support for our program. Please find it in your hearts to call a meeting right now and include us in your mission. Contact us. Let us know that you are now covering identity theft issues. Let’s help 1 in 5 Americans find the peace of mind that comes with knowing someone can and will help them. Why let this victims fend for themselves when this is the nations #1 crime.

Thank you most sincerely for any help that you can extend to our organization.
