ID THEFT VICTIM STORY I'm a twenty four year old woman living in washington. A year ago my purse was stolen whilst i was having a meal with my boyfriend. I got my bag back with all my credit cards and id still in my purse and only my money taken. a young blond lady handed it to the police.

it wasn't till some time later i was recieving bills for things i hadn't bought and personal loans and money taken out at my bank. i informed the bank in person they told me the only withdraws on the security camaras were taken out by me.

I rang up the componies i had ment to of ordered from they said the calls had come from my phone and items had been sent to my address but i hadn't recieved anything.

then one day i came home early from work as i wasn't feeling well i saw a delivery van outside my home so i drove up slowly and saw a woman at my front door she had a blouse and a suit like mine on she had make up on in my style same style glasses, jewelery and long dark hair fasterend up and what looked like my work identification around her neck. I had to do a double take she looked like me, she was in my house even her car looked like mine same plates and stuffed toy on the back window. she saw my car rushed to hers and drove off leaving the delvery man standing there shocked.

I informed the police who questioned neighbours who said they thought it was me returning home from work driving up in my car picking up my mail letting my dog out all the things i do when i get home, and when i was away for a week people didn't even know i was away because she was living my life in my house with my clothes just being me she had even got a dog to pretend to be mine!!!

the police did find her trying to get some money out of my account it was the blond who had handed my bag in. She had my keys cut and had copyed my work id in a color photo copier as well as my diary. had hair extensions put in and dyed and cut. and spyed on me for a couple of months.

I dread to think wot would have happened if she had carried on being me was she off to take over my life all together. shes now awaiting trial. shes stopped looking like me now. but im stiill scared of what might of happened.
